A mum of three beautiful children. The wife of a hardworking husband. A woman who has faced her fair share of challenges and continues to do so. I’m a Generation X who has lived life both with and without the internet. I’ve seen a time when respect was woven into the fabric of daily life, now slowly replaced by a "me, me, me" attitude that seems to dominate more and more. What is happening?

These days, life can make you feel robotic, going through the motions, fulfilling duties and responsibilities, but not truly feeling. Something always seems to be missing. Then it hit me: I’ve been searching for purpose and direction.

Over four decades on this earth, and somehow I missed it. I got swept up in chasing momentary buzzes, distracted by what the world tells us we should want. But deep down, I always knew something wasn’t quite right.

As a creative soul, I’ve longed for freedom - freedom to express, to create, to make something beautiful out of the ordinary. I've always had a deep appreciation for the small things and the hidden potential in the overlooked. Yet for years, I made excuses. I told myself it wasn’t the right time. Was it age that finally made me pay attention? Or the weight of life’s obligations pulling me away from the innocent dreams of childhood? Whatever it was, something inside began to stir.

Right now, in this moment, I feel hopeful. I feel content. I feel like I’ve finally found a sense of purpose. But this didn’t happen overnight. For the past year, something has been quietly gnawing at me, whispering that there’s more.... that I’m meant for more. And now, as I sit here writing my first blog entry with this renewed spirit within me, I know the truth:

Glory to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for loving me without condition. Because who I am, and how I feel right now, would not be possible without Him.

If you're reading this and feeling a similar stirring in your soul, I just want to say you are not alone. It’s never too late to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most. Here’s to new beginnings.
